The B-RETINA Festival de Cinema Sèrie B de Cornellà, in its ninth edition, brings the most transgressive of sexual and underground cinema. Two radical proposals stand out: “Mamántula” (2023) by Ion de Sosa, a disturbing story about an alien spider, and “Sexión Continua” (2024), the new irreverent project by Marta Montes. These films not only explore the limits of desire, but also challenge the conventions of cinema with a bold mix of genres and sensual and disturbing subject matter. Both titles will be screened in September at the Auditori Sant Ildefons in Cornellà.
This September, the B-Retina festival invites us to explore some of Hollywood’s most unusual and entertaining copycats. Featuring screenings like the Brazilian version of ‘Star Wars’ and the South African copy of ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’, the festival promises a day filled with humor and bizarre cinema. Get ready for an unforgettable cinematic experience!
“The Emu War” transforms an Australian historical event into an action comedy. Released in 2023, it narrates the story of Major Meredith and his platoon confronting deadly birds in an attempt to save their crops and honor, pushing absurdity to its limits.
