2020 was a difficult year for the cultural industries and for this festival that had to be cancelled. After restarting the engines and celebrating the festival in 2021 with overwhelming and fantastic figures, we want to give our audience what it deserves: twice as many days to enjoy the best B-rated cinema.
After having had a SOLD-OUT for two days in a row, and the huge success of the 2021 edition, we want to announce that we are extending the dates of B-RETINA.
The only festival in Catalonia specializing in B-rated cinema will be held from the 13th to the 18th of September 2022.
In addition to our retrospectives, international short film competition, children’s sessions, conferences, and other activities that we offer every year, in the next edition you can enjoy the festival from Tuesday to Thursday with fantastic double feature sessions.
B-RETINA is consolidating year after year as a benchmark festival, and among the many festivals that have fantasy, horror and alternative cinema, it has been one of the fastest to grow.
And what a better way than to celebrate it with an actor who has left us memorable and unforgettable roles, but who also beautifully embodies the values of B-rated cinema.
Since in this edition we want to give you the finest shit, this 2022 honouree is none other than Nicolas Cage!
We believe that this actor needed a tribute of this calibre and that this festival is the perfect place to do it.
